Today our Year 11 boys celebrate fantastic results with an outstanding 5.7% increase in students achieving Grades 9-7 the top grades awarded (A, A* & A**). The school has once again seen a 5% increase on last year’s results which remain significantly above the National average for boys in all areas and for all groups of learners and continues the sustained upward trend. Meanwhile many boys swept the board with straight 9-7 grades.
Among the top achievers are:
Mohammed Ellahi who has been awarded x10 Grade 9’s (A**).
Reuben Goddard who has been awarded x9 Grade 9’s (A**) and is going on to study A Level Mathematics, Chemistry, History and Physics at Coombe Sixth Form
Kayden Chu who has been awarded x7 Grade 9’s (A**) and x4 Grade 8’s.
Deputy Head Boy Omar Elamahroukey who has been awarded x6 Grade 9’s (A**) & x4 Grade 8’s.
Jason Feng who was awarded x8 Grade 9’s (A**).
Andrew Wong who was awarded x8 Grade 9’s (A**)
Other boys celebrating Grade 9’s (A**) alongside a string of Grade 8’s (A*) and Grade 7’s (A) include Stefan Suvei, Ollie Bodely-Scott, Tony Kim and James Tse.
As our boys take their next steps into further education we are of course delighted to see them enrolling into the Coombe Sixth Form today as they begin their final two years with us here at Coombe. We were pleased to be able to speak with many this morning whose success on GCSE, Vocational & Technical Level 2 pathways has prepared the way for their next steps.

Congratulations to our GCSE and BTEC Level 2 students receiving their results today.
Today we are celebrating the achievements of our 2023 Year 11 students who have received their GCSE and BTEC Level 2 results. We are so proud of the resilience and determination this cohort has shown throughout their time at Coombe Boys’ School. They have had to face the challenging circumstances of the pandemic which led to their early years here being significantly disrupted, but they have emerged stronger for it. Our congratulations go out to each and every one of them.
Today’s results will be the stepping stones from which our students can take their next steps into further education, and we are delighted to see the majority of our boys enrolling at Coombe Sixth Form. We wish them every success on their A Level and BTEC Level 3 pathways which will no doubt lead them on to some exceptional university degree courses, apprenticeships and job opportunities.
It has been exciting to hear of students' plans today, and with such a wide choice of courses at Coombe Sixth Form they are certainly diverse. Examples of just some of our students celebrating this morning amongst many include:

We are immensely proud of their achievements and the progress they have made despite the early disruptions caused by the pandemic. We are extremely proud of our 2022 Year 11 students who today are celebrating their achievements after an unprecedented two years. Their GCSE & BTEC achievements have been based on a positive, resilient and determined approach to their GCSE studies.
As our boys take their next steps into further education we are of course delighted to see our boys enrolling into the Coombe Sixth Form today becoming our new Year 12 cohort as they begin their final two years with us here at Coombe. We were pleased to be able to speak with many this morning whose success on GCSE and BTEC Level 2 pathways has prepared the way for their next steps.
The cohort achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.21 and an Attainment 8 score of 51. 69% achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics.
At Level 3 BTEC students achieved a progress score of +0.32 with the average grade of a Distinction.

Following a hugely successful A Level Results day where we were delighted to see so many of our boys attaining outstanding grades and securing places at their first choice Universities, we are also extremely proud of our 2021 Year 11 boys GCSE achievements, especially the way they have adapted to such a difficult and disrupted year.
This year, our congratulations to all our boys has a very particular significance given the resilience that they have all demonstrated in the face of 18 months of disruption to their learning, as well as uncertainty around the examination process. The excellent results that they have achieved therefore deserve the highest praise.
