Over the past two weeks, our Year 9 pupils have been busy capturing photos of prepared, packaged, and fresh foods at home and we are excited to share their fantastic results. 📸⠀ ⠀ In Art class they have been studying the work of illustrator @georgina.luck and are now ready to create their own watercolour pieces inspired by her style. We can't wait to show you what they produce next! 🎨⠀ ⠀ #CBSArtTeam

It's time for our #BOTW .... KS3: What's the Point of Maths? Maths controls just about everything, even in our library. Year 8 have a maths session here and are always surprised as to how much maths is involved in the library. This book encourages you to crack codes, predict comets and solve crimes. Even for the most reluctant mathematicians, it is a fascinating read. KS4: Simply Maths Another in our Simply series, this book proves less is more, covering everyday maths from percentages to prime numbers. #CBSLibrary
Year 8 are planning to take part in at least five chartiy fundraising initiatives this academic year, the first of which will be working with @kingstonkcah on their "Boxes of Support" initiative. Those who take part will be awarded a certificate and a unique badge to recognise their contribution and effort. Each badge will be designed by a student via a competition linked to the project.⠀ ⠀ Congratulations to Joey Beecheeno who has created this badge design for the first charity drive.⠀ ⠀ #CBSYr8 #coombeunity

Following his experience of making Adolescence, Stephen Graham has teamed up with Orly Klein to launch a major new project asking fathers to write a letter to their sons about what it means to be a man. Letters to Our Sons will be a collection of honest, powerful and moving letters that will resonate everywhere. We would love to see our CBS dads submitting letters to the collection.
