Today is Earth Day so our #BOTW remind us of the wonderful world we live in.⠀ KS3 The Lost Whale by @hannahgold_author is a beautiful story about the connection between a boy and a whale.⠀ KS4 Diary of a Young Naturalist by Dara McAnulty explores sensory encounters in the wild through the eyes of an autistic teenager. This book captures perfectly the importance of spending time in nature and how it can soothe the soul.⠀ #CBSLibrary
Just before the Easter holiday we hosted an exciting KS3 SEN/PPG Science Evening with a crime scene investigation theme! Students used forensic methods to identify a suspect based on evidence analysis. Huge thanks to #CBSScienceTeam for making it such an engaging event! 🔬🕵️‍♂️ #ForensicScience
🌞 Welcome back! The Summer Term is here, bringing longer days, fresh opportunities, and new adventure. We look forward to a whole school production of Guys & Dolls, Sports Day, Prize Giving, the progression of the building work, a successful exam season, and a whole lot more. We are thrilled to have been invited by @national_drama to perform at the National Drama Conference this evening. Our Year 12s are raring to go!
A fantastic end of the Spring Term with a trip to see the magical @cursedchildldn yesterday. Both parts in one day! What a spellbinding theatrical treat! One of our favourite moments is when smoke whooshes out of a young wizard’s ears - oh to be able to replicate that in Drama lessons! Thanks to @golivetheatre for the opportunity. 🎭
Year 9 will be running a sponsored cake sale in school in aid of @aspirecharity on the last day of term. Don't forget to bring £2 to buy some sweet treats.
We are so proud of our year 9 student Jason who will swim The Solent from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight on 20th July to raise money for @aspirecharity, the spinal injuries charity. Please sponsor him for this epic open water challenge if you are able to.⠀ ⠀
